NHS in Crisis? In Conversation with Allyson Pollock.
4th October 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pmFree
Is the NHS in crisis? What’s in store in its future? And what can we do to defend it?
Allyson Pollock, Professor of Public Health Research at Queen Mary University of London, will be addressing all these questions and more on October 4th at the Stanley Theatre, Liverpool Guild of Students. Pollock is one of the country’s most famous health campaigners, and has been speaking out against NHS privatisation since the late 1990s.
She will be joined by Margaret Greenwood MP who is an ardent defender of the NHS, and who tabled Allyson’s NHS reinstatement bill in July. Margaret was also one of the founding members of Defend Our NHS.
Finally, also speaking will be Rhiannon McNamara, Medical Student at the University of Liverpool!
We want this to be an inclusive event, so there will be lots of time for discussion and questions amongst the audience.
We look forward to seeing you there.
This event is FREE however we ask that all attendees please register for tickets so that we can monitor capacity.
